A fragrant North African inspired spice mix that complements pretty much any savoury dish.

This recipe is a great pantry staple to add to your spice rack, especially for those days when you don’t have time to think and just want to add some flavour to a dish quickly. Sprinkle a pinch on top of a salad, homemade hot chips, tomato sauce or creamy side dip. We use it to add a depth of spice to our Buddha bowl.


  • Serves 2


  • 1 tsp ground paprika
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • 1.5 tsps. dried mint
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp caraway seeds
  • ½ tsp chilli flakes
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • ½ tbsp. rice flour


  • Place all ingredients in a bowl and combine until evenly mixed through. Alternatively, add all ingredients to a pestle and mortar and grind to a finer spice mix if desired.
  • Store in an airtight container or glass spice jar in a cool, dry place.


This seasoning is perfect for any type of meat, fish or vegetables, simply sprinkle over before cooking. It is also great if you want to add a bit of spice to a soup.
